Day One
Edinburgh to Inverness (2 nights)

From  Edinburgh we will make our way to Rannoch Moor  - a wilderness that extends over 50 sq miles. Next we'll enter brooding Glen Coe. There is a stop in the heart of the Glen so you can enjoy the spectacular surroundings for ourselves. Our crossing of the Ballachulish Bridge will bring us to Fort William which sits in the shadow of Ben Nevis. The majestic beauty of the Great Glen is next – Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and finally Loch Ness will provide wonderful views at every turn. We'll drive the entire length of Loch Ness stopping so you can visit Urquhart Castle and take a monster spotting cruise (optional). Our tour is based in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, for the next two nights..

The stay in Inverness is unescorted.

Day Two
Scenic Applecross

A day of scenic beauty as we travel to one of the remotest areas of Scotland—the Applecross Peninsula. Our journey commences with a drive across the Black Isle to the village of Achnasheen. Then the dramatic climb over the Bealach nam Ba, which means the Pass of the Cattle, in Gaelic. The Pass is the third highest road in the United Kingdom and climbs to over 2,000 feet! On our arrival in Applecross we can spend some quality time enjoying the spectacular seascapes or discovering the sad tale of the highland clearances at the local heritage centre. In this area wildlife abounds—nature lovers look out for red deer, pine marten (one of the rarest of British mammals) and otters.

Day Three
 Inverness to Edinburgh

We make the most of our last day in the Highlands by taking a scenic drive through the Black Isle to visit the attractive fishing village of Cromarty. Later we'll stop at Chanonry Point to (hopefully) view the dolphins who live in the Moray Firth before making a stop in the pleasant town of Beauly. Our drive through Glen Convinth will bring us to the little village of Drumnadrochit where there is a chance for shopping at the popular Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition.

Later this afternoon we join our motorcoach for a spectacular drive south through the Highlands. From the Spey Valley and theCairngorm Mountains we travel through Glen Garry to enjoy scenic views of picturesque Blair Castle. After a break we’ll make our way through the gentle rolling countryside towards Perth then onwards to  Edinburgh
