Loch Ness, Glencoe & Highlands Tour from Glasgow

One of our most popular full day tours from Glasgow taking in some of the most dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands. Visit Glencoe and enjoy options for a Loch Ness cruise and visit to Urquhart Castle. Runs daily throughout the year.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS: Loch Lomond, Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Fort William, Ben Nevis, The Great Glen, Urquhart Castle & Loch Ness Cruise, Inverness, Pitlochry

From Glasgow our coach travels north, before making a coffee stop on the shores of Loch Lomond. Travelling the length of the loch, we climb up into the Highlands, over the unique, desolate landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to majestic Glencoe, one of Scotland’s best-loved glens, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.

Continuing via Loch Linnhe, we stop in Fort William area for lunch then continue into the natural beauty of the Great Glen as we pass beneath Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis.  Travelling on, we admire the Caledonian Canal, and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, enjoying spectacular views of Loch Ness, as we drive along the shoreline to Urquhart Castle.

Loch Ness, 24 miles long and over 700 feet deep is more famous for its sightings of the Loch Ness monster, affectionately known as 'Nessie'. We spend approximately two hours at Loch Ness, where you can choose to take a wonderful 5 Star Jacobite cruise and explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle and visitor centre.

Passing through Inverness, Capital of the Highlands, we start our return for home, crossing the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl, with an evening refreshment stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, en route back to Glasgow.

This tour is run by Timberbush Tours, who have been awarded 5 stars from the Scottish Tourist Board for their tours.

Please ensure you arrive approximately 15 minutes before departure as missed tours are not refunded.
